This month, I’ll only be featuring the monthly synopsis instead of the usual monthly, weekly and daily synopses because I am working on my website where these components will be available. Thank you for your patience.
For Aries, August will highlight your 5th house of creativity, inner resourcefulness, the things that bring you pleasure, and children.
Mars begins the month in your house of home, so you may find that you’re finishing up activities around the house. There may also be some tension in your home because your energy level will be high and at times volatile because you’re trying to finish up projects. Your mind is on leisure activities, activities to do with your children if you have them, or on beginning new projects so wrapping up those house projects is at the top of your list. Mars will enter Leo and your 5th house on August 8th bringing with it a burst of energy. You’ll feel ready to begin new projects, leisurely pursuits, and activities with your children.
Venus is in your 5th house for the month, but is in retrograde motion until September so if you’re going back to projects that were begun before the retrograde period, you will make some strides toward completing them. It is not a good time to begin new projects or activities that you do not have experience in because Venus is in retrograde motion and in a low energy cycle.
Mercury begins in your 5th house injecting your mind with plenty of ideas, thoughts and plans on how to enjoy yourself, your kids or the projects you’re working on. Mercury will stay in the 6th house until the end of the month when it will then enter Libra and your 7th house of work projects, environment and health. If you’re involved in creative projects that include writing or teaching this placement is favourable and you will experience amazing results.
Jupiter is also in the 5th house until the 11th and you’ll receive a gift as it nears its cycle in this sector of your chart. You may find that your romantic life was brimming. You may have met your true love during this past year. If you were already married or in a long-term relationship, you may have decided to have children, whether through pregnancy or adoption. Or, you may have met someone who has children. With Jupiter entering your 6th house as of the 11th, you will notice that your work life is about to get very busy again, and will remain for the next year while Jupiter tours this sector. Luck, abundance and expansion in your work sector may bring new business, business from afar, or incorporating a culture different from your own, or you may be expanding and hiring people to grow your business. If you work in an office environment, you may see new associates joining your division or company.
Saturn has been retrograde in Scorpio in your 8th house of intimacy, commitment and joint ventures or resources. If you look to Pluto who rules Scorpio, you will notice that a review of how you do business with others, the kinds of commitments you make with others, or the kind of business you commit yourself to will come up during this period. During the months from March to July this was more extreme, but it will subside a little when Saturn turns direct on August 2. Your commitments, investments and joint resources are still under review but the intensity won’t be as strong. Saturn will return to Sagittarius and your 9th house on September 17.
On July 31, there was a full moon in Aquarius in your 11th house and you will feel this influence for the first two weeks of August. Activity that involved your friends or a group will culminate ending this cycle until August 14 when the new moon in Leo will begin a new cycle of activity where you will rely on your own inner resourcefulness and not on others.
August will be about the security you feel when you get in touch with your own inner creativity, through art, music, personal projects, or children. You will receive inspiration from your creativity, your pleasure centres, and your children. Your contribution or service will come from the result of your creativity, your pleasure and enjoyment of life reflected to others, your own inner child, or through your interaction with children.
