The God of Change Squaring off with The God of The Underworld

The God of War was hitting the God of Disruption head on last week while the God of the Underworld stood closeby.

For those of us living in North America, it was an interesting (to say the least) week filled with disruptive (and aggressive) behaviour! Our hearts go out to all that have been affected by these explosive events!

The key words for Uranus are: sudden turns, rebellion, independence, invention, surprises, liberation, disruption, awakening
The key words for Pluto are: transformation, destruction, creation, regeneration, healing, renewal, power struggles, upheaval

Uranus and Pluto are now squaring off to a slow build up until the end of the month! With Mercury in retrograde in tow, it will probably seem like a frustrating two weeks of disruption, transformation and glitches. Both Uranus and Pluto are also in retrograde – so a lot of the feelings of movement and change will be felt internally  – most likely at the collective unconscious level. These are generational planets and therefore in BIG they affect large groups of people (within generations) at a time.

In the cosmic chart, Aries rules the first house: the focal point for the personality and manner; and Capricorn rules the 10th House of: Fame, notoriety, occupation, career, ambition, government, chief executives, business life, goals, ranks, political position. In general that means that Uranus will be causing disruption, wanting independence, liberation, and possibly experience an awakening while Pluto will be rehauling authority figures and institutions, business, goals, etc. In Aries, Uranus has a pioneering kind of attitude which is likened to what we are seeing on a world level with countries toppling their governments; grand, aggressive, sudden, etc.; in Capricorn, the changes and transformations are a little more methodical and less impulsive. At the end of the Pluto cycle in Capricorn, the changes and transformation will be the new foundation, concrete, and set in marble – so to speak.

Specifically they will affect people on a personal level wherever Uranus (Aries) and Pluto (Capricorn) happen to fall in their charts.

In my chart, for example,  I have Pluto in Capricorn in my 5th house of love and romance, children and creativity, projects, sports and games, gambling and speculation, the house of fun! I have Uranus in Aries in the 8th house of of intense experiences and challenge, spiritual questioning, transformation, joint assets and other people’s money.  The ruler of my 8th house is Neptune which is found in my 3rd house of communication and the ruler of my fifth house is Jupiter which can be found in my 8th house. In short, there are going to be changes, upheaval, deep experiences in my 8th house which will affect me on a deep level, and possibly any joint ventures with a partner. Pluto in my 5th house is slowly changing how I view leisure time, romance, and what kind of creative projects I want to undertake. This house also represents (my) children, so they are also undergoing transformation. Other children will also be present in my life – possibly from a partner (link to 8th house.) My 5th house is ruled by Jupiter (Sagittarius) house, ruler of expansion and luck and Jupiter is in my 8th house which is being influenced by the Uranus transit.

All this to say that the changes that are taking place are all somewhat linked, and you will most likely see this in your own charts.

Hang on to your sails during this trying time, and August should be a brighter month!
